This project is born from a research process of more than three years and that configures an aquatic cartography on the different ways in which fifteen artists from the national scene relate to the idea and materiality of water, with the fluidity of thought and the forms of address the liquidity that dominates all states of our lives from the economic to the political, passing through the sentimental, the symbolic and that of language itself.

The artists Ángels Ribé, Itziar Okariz, Lucia C. Pino, María Tinaut, Pauline Fondevila, Isabel Marcos, Marina González Guerreiro, Maider López, Irati Inoriza, Cristina Mejías, Laia Estruch, Mar Guerrero, Claudia Pagés, Laia Ventayol and Cristina Moreno, They present different approaches to this aquatic panorama from the territories of installation, sculpture, photography, video, and performance.

Three performances have been programmed around this exhibition. The first took place during the month of October 2022 during the Pensament 2022 Biennial, where the action “The promise of the sea” was presented. “El viatge immòbil” by the artist Pauline Fondevila who sailed the bay of Palma with a series of Latin sail boats on whose sails one could read verses and phrases from poems and songs by Mallorcan artists, musicians and poets such as Antònia Font.
